The Army is proud to be part of Defence BattleLab, a collaborative environment in partnership with Dorset Council, Defence and Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership. An NSTIx co-creation space, the BattleLab brings together public and private sector parties to foster open and collaborative development of high-impact, user driven technology. The BattleLab is an opportunity for Defence problems to collide with industry solutions, an environment for academics, innovators and end users to ideate, fail fast and succeed sooner.
A virtual and physical community, allowing collaborators the opportunity to access offices, conference rooms, 5G network and MOD end users, engineering workshop, testing ranges with cleared air and sea space.

Minister for Defence Procurement, Mr Jeremy Quin MP, today celebrated the bright future of Defence innovation and collaboration at the formal opening of the Defence BattleLab and the announcement of the new Land Industrial Strategy.
An ambitious Defence building programme at the heart of Dorset, dedicated to the pursuit of innovation and technologies of the future, has reached a significant milestone with the completion of the first building at the site.
