Formations, Divisions & Brigades

The command structure is hierarchical with divisions and brigades responsible for administering groupings of smaller units. Major Units are regiment or battalion-sized with minor units being smaller, either company sized sub-units or platoons.

Field Army

The Field Army is a command of the British Army responsible for generating and preparing forces for current and contingency operations, led by the Commander Field Army.

It consists of the Surveillance Group, Understand Group, Cyber Electro-Magnetic Activities Effects Group, and Land Warfare Centre. Also within Field Army Troops is the Army Special Operations Brigade, 77 Brigade and the 2nd Medical Brigade.
