All Gurkha Pension Scheme (GPS) pensioners are required to renew their Life Certificate each year. The due date for the next renewal will be provided in the acknowledgement email sent after the current Life Certificate has been received.
Pensioners may request a blank Life Certificate form from their Pension Office at any time. The form is also available for download from this website.
Pensioners residing outside Nepal and India must have their Life Certificate witnessed by one of the authorised individuals listed on the form. Those living in the United Kingdom may continue to complete the renewal process through the Gurkha Welfare Advice Centres (GWACs) in Salisbury or Aldershot.
Pensioners residing in Nepal should, wherever possible, visit their nearest Gurkha Veterans' Advice Centre (GVAC), Darjeeling Veterans' Advice Centre (DVAC), or Area Welfare Centre (AWC) to have their Life Certificate verified.
GVACs and DVACs serve as one-stop centres, providing a wide range of advice, support, and assistance to Gurkha veterans and their families. They should be your first point of contact for any enquiries or services you may require.
