The Regiment is made up of four squadrons:

- 94 Supply Squadron, Queen's Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment
23 Apr 20 marked the formal reformation of 95 Supply Squadron RLC as 94 Supply Squadron Queen's Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment. 94 Squadron continues as the Theatre Enabling Group-aligned Supply Squadron within 104 Theatre Sustainment Brigade, providing supply chain accountability and visibility at high readiness, but will now be under a Gurkha manning profile.
9 Regiment RLC is paired with 152 Regiment RLC and 167 Catering Support Regiment RLC. Both are Army Reserve units.
As part of the Theatre Enabling Group, the Regiment facilitates entry into any theatre of operations by:
- Providing distribution and transport
- Fuel storage and distribution
- Supply: Provision, receipt, issue, storage and maintenance of essential commodities
- Providing a Sustainment Fusion Cell, which locally procures supplies and services while on operations
- Medical Supply: We are specialists in medical supply chain management.
9 Regiment RLC operates a wide variety of vehicles and equipment. These include:
- Combat Support Tankers for movement of fuel
- Various HGV (support vehicle) platforms
- Rough terrain forklifts
- Deployable bulk fuel storage sites
- An array of field and medical storage equipment and logistic information systems.
Our soldiers come from a wide range of backgrounds and fulfil a variety of roles. Trained as soldiers first, they develop a wide range of specialist skills through their individual trades; most of which are directly transferable into the civilian workplace. We train people for the following careers:
Lance Corporal (LCpl) Fern Davies - Logistic Supply Specialist
LCpl Davies has had an amazing career already. On promotion to LCpl, she became responsible for a small medical supply team and deployed to Oman on a large scale multi-national exercise. "As soon as I got there, I just threw myself into it. We were actually supplying a hospital with real life kit for real life injuries. The medics couldn't do their job without us."
Outside of her trade, LCpl Davies has also been able to pursue her international netball career. "I had absolutely no idea that I could play netball in the Army. I thought my netball career was over. But within 10 months of joining the Army, I got my first senior cap for Wales. It was a dream come true. I feel quite valued as a soldier. I've become the most confident, resilient, disciplined and the happiest I've ever been. It really has pushed me to become who I am today."
Sporting opportunities
Sport is a big part of Army and 9 Regiment RLC life.
Although the Regiment is renowned for its rugby team, which has recently won the Army Cup, success has been widespread. There is a vast variety of sports available including: motorcycle enduro, skiing, football, mountain-biking, boxing, sky-diving, clay-pigeon shooting, basketball and netball; to name just a few.
Within the Regiment, there are athletes who have represented their countries at the Commonwealth games, playing alongside keen amateurs. The only stipulation is an understanding, that sport should be for all.
