The only British Army Reserve, Explosive Ordinance Disposal and Search (EOD&S) unit. We support our Regular counterparts in Explosive Ordnance Disposal and advanced Search.

We provide EOD, Advanced and Intermediate Search support to operations anywhere in the world. Furthermore, we are always poised to support contingent operations and directed tasks as required.

We provide Advanced Search trained personnel to deploy on Operation Shader in Iraq.

Our main role when deployed, is to teach Counter – Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) techniques to the Iraqi Defence Forces.

Over drill nights, weekend camps and a two-week annual exercise, Reservist Soldiers and Officers learn the fundamental skills and gain the qualities required to operate as Sappers.

All this training and development will be linked closely to their key specialisation; EOD & Search.
