Bristol University Officers’ Training Corps (BUOTC) is an Army Reserve unit that recruits exclusively from university students across the Bristol and Bath area.
Affiliated universities include:
Bristol University, University of the West of England, Bath University and Bath Spa.

The Bristol University Officers' Training Corps (BUOTC) offers a unique experience to university students looking to challenge and develop themselves, make life-long friends and get paid.
You'll receive internationally recognised leadership training and the opportunity to immerse yourself in a variety of sports and adventurous training. The training is designed to fit around your academic commitment’s and you are under no obligation to join the Regular Army or Army Reserves.

SPORT AND ADVENTUROUS TRAINING
Bristol UOTC fields competitive teams in many disciplines such as Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Football and much more. As an Officer Cadet you will be supported to try new sports and even compete at the highest levels in your chosen field.
Adventurous Training features strongly throughout the UOTC year and enables Officer Cadets to test and stretch their limits. You can train in anything from kayaking in the UK to skiing the Alps, rock climbing in Bavaria and everything in between.

After experiencing the camaraderie and wealth of opportunity that being part of the UOTC brings, you might decide a career in the Army is for you.
There are numerous Army Officer bursaries available to support you through university, helping you to reach your full potential.
You could be eligible for a bursary of up to £25,000 or £75,000 if you are a medical student.
