This means we have soldiers and officers located all over the UK.
The Regiment has a strength of 370, with three Squadrons and a headquarters (HQ).
The Regimental HQ and our centre of excellence is based in Grantham.
Our personnel deploy world-wide with the British Army and with the Royal Navy on the aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth.
Our Army Reserve Chefs have the opportunity to fast-track into the Regular Army.
167 RLC is proud to be a diverse and inclusive family regiment.

We achieve all we achieve through training and experience.
Training is delivered by the Army School of Reserve Catering. The courses run are:

167 Regiment soldiers can also gain specialist logistic qualifications. All qualifications are mapped to civilian equivalents.

HMS Dragon and HMS Queen Elizabeth
LCpl Ryan Adams joined HMS Dragon, a type 45 destroyer taking part in Exercise Saif Sareea in Oman. “My main role is ‘Chef’, catering for over 250 crew which on this occasion included planning and producing a cocktail party menu for 48 VIPs. The main highlights which stick out for me are having the chance to visit Oman, Dubai, Beirut, Ukraine and Kuwait."
LCpl John Edwards was employed at Naval Command before joining HMS Queen Elizabeth, a QE class aircraft carrier. He helps cater for over 500 crew in-port and 1500 at sea over the ship’s five galleys. “The main highlight for me is that I am developing such a diverse range of catering and non-catering skills and have been selected as part of Family’s Day committee."
