2nd Lieutenant Jack Senogles (24, Warrington, International buyer)

Within my first 2 year of joining the Army Reserves I have participated in international military competitions, represented the Regiment at sport, worked alongside Regulars and even been skiing! I have enjoyed a busy and varied start to my career as a Troop Commander in 103 Regiment Royal Artillery. The challenge of working with, and leading, a Troop in a Close Support Gun Regiment is a unique opportunity. It’s a real privilege to lead groups of such enthusiastic, professional and technically-able soldiers.

The Regiment is always willing to support its soldiers and officers in their careers and has even organised for myself and another Young Officer to join Regular Army units on attachment for a year to gain more experience.

Gunner Conor Murray (24, Liverpool, Mechanic)

Over the last 3 years since I joined, I have had the opportunity to work with an amazing group of people. My role is a L118 Light Gun Operator and since qualifying I have been on numerous live firing exercises in the UK. I have also completed a saluting gun course from which I was then able to take part in ceremonial firing occasions such as Remembrance Sunday in Liverpool city centre & for the winning boat of the 2018 Clipper Yacht Race.

I have completed a Potential Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) cadre course which led to me taking on the role of a 2IC (Second in Command). I had to delegate tasks and ensure that both fire teams were operationally effective in the field. Overall since joining 103rd Regiment Royal Artillery I feel that I have gained a massive amount of experience which has helped me improve both my trade and working as part of a team which has been useful in my civilian life.
