306 HSR is a regiment of specialist teams designed to augment the basic deployed medical treatment facility and increase its ability to that of a deployed hospital.
Specialities include: women's health, child health, specialist medicine and surgery, head and neck teams and burns and plastics teams.
Some teams deliver CT scanning and laboratory services and are made up of doctors, nurses, ODPs, radiographers, BMS, pathology and laboratory teams.
The regiment has a wide range of geographical training locations to suit its officers and soldiers across the UK as part of the nationally recruited team.
What is a Nationally Recruited Unit (NRU)?
There are three nationally recruited AMS units within the Headquarters based in Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall, near York.
The primary role of these units is to provide appropriately trained personnel to deploy as Individual Augmentees (IAs) or teams in order to support military operations and exercises.
