We are the first and second line Protected Mobility health service support, and we are optimised to operate with a Light Mechanised Brigade.
3 Medical Regiment aims to deliver the best health service support to the force that it can. We can be deployed independently or within a Division and can contribute to demanding war-fighting operations. The unit can integrate individuals with specialist primary healthcare or pre-hospital emergency care to support the team.
3 Medical Regiment provides health service support to a fighting Brigade. The Regiment operates in the close battle-space to maximise combat effectiveness of the force and to save the lives of those who may be injured.
This requires a readiness mindset and the unit generates whole-unit capability to support NATO and National force element with readiness tasks. Being ready to respond is an enduring task and gives the Army options to generate deployable health service support capability.
To enable being ready, the unit trains as it will operate, integrated with the Brigade it is optimised to support, building the relationships and skills required for success on deployment, being individually competent and collectively tactically proficient.
The unit also supports a myriad of training activity by delivering real-life medical support, so that opportunities exist for UK and Overseas placements, exercises and support to operations.
