The Band of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment

The Band of The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment was formed in 1993 and is one of 19 UK-based Army Reserve Bands. The Regiment, however (also known as the ‘Tigers’), can trace its lineage as far back as 1572, with its modern formations coming into force in 1992 on the amalgamation of the Queen’s Regiment and Royal Hampshires. As well as providing musical support to the local community and The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, we deliver essential music capability ranging from traditional marching, jazz, classical and pop to events and engagements across the UK and overseas.

The Band of The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment (PWRR) is the only professional Reserve Military wind band based in Kent and is commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Wayne Hopla BA (Hons) ARCM BBCM psm.

The Band forms part of the British Army Reserve and rehearses weekly in our purposely built practice facility in Canterbury (Wednesday 1930 -2130) and also in Brighton (Thursday 1900-2100).
