As a specialist unit, we provide an infrastructure capability in support of 170 (Infra Support) Engineer Group. The engineer specialisms include Fuel, Ports, Water, Rail, Power and Works.

We comprise of:

Our Specialist Engineer Reserves bring their civilian skills and experience to the heart of Military Engineering and Infrastructure projects.

In return 65 Works Group offers:

Leadership and life skills that are transferable into civilian life. An opportunity to work closely with the Regular Army as part of an integrated force.

Challenge, new friends, adventurous training and sport. An annual commitment of 19 days' paid training and the opportunity to do more.

The works group is based in Chetwynd Barracks Nottingham. However, as a nationally recruited Army Reserve unit, there will be opportunities to train at a variety of locations within the United Kingdom. In addition, there will also be opportunities to conduct annual overs training. Recent Exercises have included Singapore, Latvia, Cyprus and Gibraltar.

65 Works Group Royal Engineers provides the Army Reserve critical Infrastructure capability within 170 (Infra Support) Engineer Group and has significant utility across Defence and wider government.

Comprising of Headquarters, Support Elements and six Specialist Teams Royal Engineer (STRE) supporting UK and overseas Defence Commitments, including support to Operations.

Our highly specialised people and teams bring their civilian engineering skills to the forefront of Military Engineering, often in the most demanding of conditions.
