103 Battalion REME (V)

REME

103 Battalion Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) is a Territorial Army unit based across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire.

The Battalion consists of a Headquarters, two Field Companies, one Recovery Company and three Nationally Recruited Increment Companies. The Battalions role within the Army is to maintain, repair, modify and recover nearly all the Army's mechanical and electrical equipment.

128 Field Company

128 Field Company REME, based in Hilsea, Portsmouth, is predominately dedicated to the repair of all Military Vehicles. The Company recruits from around Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight and southern Hampshire.

133 Field Company

133 Field Company REME, based in Ashford, is predominately dedicated to the repair of all Military Vehicles. The Company recruits from the Kent area and offers a wide range of trades in both the REME and RLC (Royal Logistics Corps) stores section.

150 Recovery Company

150 Recovery Company is based in Redhill. It's role is to provide Vehicle Recovery Support to the Army. The main trade within the Company is Recovery Mechanic, but we also employ Vehicle Mechanics, Vehicle Electricians, Driver/Radio Operators, Technical Storeman, Chefs and Medics.

These three increment Companies are nationally recruited. Their primary role is to bolster regular units with individual reinforcements. The administration centre for all three companies is located at 103 Battalion Headquarters in Crawley.

Battalion Headquarters (BHQ) is the Command element of 103 Battalion (Bn) REME. The main make up of BHQ is centred around administration and communications, the main trades are Driver/Radio operators and Military Clerks.
