World Youth Skills Day event - Cancelled until 2021
This event is now cancelled for 2020. New dates will be published for 2021 once the dates are known.
What is World Youth Skills Day?
Our RMAS event has been cancelled.
Worldwide today, there are 1.2 billion young people aged 15 to 24 years, accounting for 16 percent of the global population. However, young people are almost three times more likely to be unemployed than adults and continuously exposed to lower quality of jobs, greater labour market inequalities, and longer and more insecure school-to-work transitions. In addition, women are more likely to be underemployed and underpaid, and to undertake part-time jobs or work under temporary contracts.
The goal of World Youth Skills Day is to achieve better socio-economic conditions for today's youth, including addressing the challenges of unemployment and underemployment.
