Headquarters Force Troops Command (FTC) is the largest formation in the British Army. It commands units that provide Combat Support, Command Support, certain Combat Service Support and specialist support to the Reaction and Adaptable Forces.
From its Headquarters in Wiltshire, the Command brings together a number specialists with the skills required to help prepare and deliver operations at home and abroad.
Delivering combat support, command support and specialist logistics support, the troops of FTC comprise the largest of the Army formations, essentially one-third of the Whole Force.
Over recent years, FTC has delivered operational successes in Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, Iraq and Nepal while at the same time supporting multiple UK counter-terrorism activities and other operations.
HQ FTC has a structure of ten specialist brigades that continue to deliver unique capabilities that have benefit for the Army, for Defence and the wider Government.
Joint Ground Based Air Defence Headquarters (JT GBAD HQ) is responsible for delivery a coherent and effective Ground Based Air Defence capability and an Air Picture to the Land Environment to support UK Operations.
JT GBAD comprises a Headquarters, 2 Regular Regiments; 12 Regiment RA and 16th Regiment RA, 1 Reserve Regiment; 106 (Y) Regiment RA and one Support Unit; 42 Battery.
