A vital link to our local communities
Headquarters 11th Signal and West Midlands Brigade is located at Donnington, near Telford and we cover the counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands conurbation.

Brigade Role
Our role is to provide administrative support for around 8,000 Army personnel who are based in the region, as well as forming a vital link between the Army and our local communities.
The Brigade has six Regular Army signal regiments and three Army Reserve signal regiments. In addition, we have command responsibilities for the Army Cadet Forces and some of the Army Reserve units in the region.
The West Midlands is home to a diverse range of military units and other Defence establishments. In most cases, 11th Signal and West Midlands Brigade is responsible for providing support and technical assurance to their commanding officers and for coordinating the Army’s community engagement activity across the region.
