22 Field Hospital is based at Keogh Barracks, located just outside of Aldershot in Hampshire. A Field Hospital is a unit that, operating out of tents, can provide a NHS standard of healthcare anywhere in the world.
'Vanguard' medical regiment
The unit has access to the most up to date medical equipment that you will find in some of the best NHS hospitals. This provides a trauma facility that can be put out on the ground and set up within 24 hours. The facility can be taken anywhere around the world should they be tasked to do so.
22 Field Hospital is currently the ‘Vanguard’ medical regiment which means they are on high readiness to deploy at short notice to anywhere in the world.
