Our Role

The primary role of the Field Hospital is to provide clinical support to the Regular Army on operational tours in times of conflict, peacekeeping and humanitarian situations. The unit provides secondary healthcare to both soldiers and civilians.

Healthcare professionals will be employed according to their clinical currency, civilian qualifications and experience but will be expected to work in a challenging military environment whether that is in tents or buildings. Unit personnel will impart the knowledge and skills which are transferable from the peacetime setting to operational scenarios across the spectrum of conflict.
