Assault Pioneer Division

The Infantry Assault Soldier/Pioneer conveys unique skills to the battlefield, he is able to provide mobility, counter mobility and survivability to his Battalion.

He is just as adept in providing his unit with water as he is with handling explosives, building a bridge or fortifying defensive positions.






Assault Pioneer Platoon Sergeant Course (APPSC)

Sgt or Selected Cpl

Validate Pioneer Training, conduct detailed reconnaissance supported with technical written work.

Brief the chain of command.





All courses completed at 3 Royal School of Military Engineering.


Assault Pioneer Section Commanders Course (APSCC)


Qualify selected Assault Pioneer Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (JNCOs) for appointments as Assault Pioneer Battlefield Section Commanders.
