Infantry skills training

  • Team and section attacks

Weapons training

  • Introduction to SA80 rifle
  • Rifle lessons and rifle live firing
  • Introduction to Light Machine Gun (LMG)
  • Introduction to grenade
  • Introduction to New Light Anti-Tank Weapon
  • LMG shooting camp
  • March and shoot competition

Physical training/battle fitness

  • Introduction to physical training (PT)

  • Loaded marches – four, five and six miles

  • Adventure training in Lancaster: hill walking, kayaking, climbing, caving and map reading
