155 Recovery Company

155 Recovery Company’s role is to support the Army on exercise and operations, alongside our sister companies and 106 Battalion as a whole. We deploy forward to recover battle damaged and incapacitated vehicles from the battlefield to a REME workshop where they will be repaired.

Our people

The newly formed 155 Recovery Company is based in Glasgow at the Recovery Company, Barnsford Bridge, Houston Road, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire. 155 Recovery Company boasts a fleet of modern 32-tonne Recovery and Support vehicles, in addition to workshops, classrooms and offices. It is ideally located in an area perfect for training for Recovery tasks.

As a member of 155 Recovery Company you will be trained and practiced in individual and team skills to prepare you for a rewarding career as a member of the REME Reserve. Many of these skills are transferrable to vocational trades and easily recognizable to the many engineering companies.

You will be fully supported by the company, with training designed to bring out your natural leadership and communication skills as well as develop your skills at a trade of your choice. Your confidence and skills will flourish as you progress through trained soldier status and beyond.

Men and women of the REME Reserve have served on operations and exercises all over the world including Bosnia, Kosovo, Cyprus, Kenya, Iraq, Germany and more recently Afghanistan. Operations in Afghanistan have ended, but there are many other opportunities for REME Reserve to serve with

  • Technical Support Specialist
  • Metalsmith

Support Trades:

  • Combat Medical Technician
  • Chef
  • HR Specialist

If you are looking for something different and challenging then you will not be disappointed, training and being part of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers reserve will put you above the rest, and the best part is you get paid to do it.
