Royal Welsh Battlegroup conducts final exercise in Estonia

Over 800 British, French and Danish troops have conducted Exercise Dragon Charge on the Tapa Central Training Area in Estonia to reaffirm their interoperability and agility. It was the final, major, force-on-force exercise for the Royal Welsh-led Battlegroup, who come to the end of their six-month tour in Estonia serving as NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) on Europe’s eastern flank.

Parade will move to the left by 90 minutes..

Well, it was never going to rain on this parade, which was brought forward by an hour and a half on the instruction of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst’s Commandant to protect those taking part from the day’s higher temperatures. The Officer Cadets of Commissioning Course 213 were on the parade square in front of the magnificent Old College for 0930hrs instead of the traditional timing of 1100hrs.
