Military Working Dog handler training is a howling success

Learning how to give first aid to a Military Working Dog injured in combat was just one of the lessons undertaken by the latest intake on the Royal Army Veterinary Corps (RAVC) Initial Trade Training (ITT) Course. Eight soldiers successfully completed the seven-week course and will now join the 1st Military Dog Regiment as qualified Patrol MWDs handlers.

Army highlights from the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2024

The Massed Pipes and Drums in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is made up of more than 230 pipers and drummers and this year included the Pipes and Drums of 1st Battalion Irish Guards, 1st Battalion Scots Guards, The Royal Gurkha Rifles and the Combined Pipes and Drums of the Royal Tank Regiment and the Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry, supported by fellow pipers and drummers and military musicians from around the world. The iconic lone piper marks the close of festivities and it is tradition for serving personnel to take on this prestigious role. This year five bagpipers were selected for the honour by the Director of Army Bagpipe Music.
