Olympic medal winner talks to soldiers about mental resilence.

Dame Kelly Holmes MBE recently paid a visit to the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in Leuchars Station as the Honorary Colonel of the Royal Armoured Corp Training Centre, Bovington.

Her time at Leuchers Station was spent talking about mental resilience and chatting with the soldiers, several members of the unit were also presented with their sporting colours.

As well as being a double gold medal winning olympian at 800 and 1500 metres at the 2004 Athens Olympics, Dame Kelly is also an army veteran. Having spent 10 years as a Heavy Goods Vehicle driver and also a Class 1 Physical Training Instructor, she left the army as a Sergeant to pursue her dream of competing in the Olympics.
