The Queen's Green Canopy

As part of The Queen’s Green Canopy, a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, we have gladly accepted the invitation across the Army estate to join people from across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”.

    A set of six Magnolia trees have been planted at a North Yorkshire Army base to honour the memory of Captain Sir Tom Moore and launch the Queen's Green Canopy campaign across the country.

    A planting ceremony was held at Montgomery House in Aldershot, the Headquarters of both Home and Regional Command.

    HRH The Princess Royal along with the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, Nigel Atkinson Esq planted trees at the Light Division Memorial in Sir John Moore Barracks, Winchester as part of HM’s Platinum Jubilee Green Canopy initiative.
