How to join us

A career or job in the Corps of Army Music can offer full time employment as a musician within the British Army. A pensionable career potentially to the age of 55. Fantastic travel opportunities with the chance to perform at great venues and events around the world.

Army Music £10K 'Golden Hello'

On July 1st, 2016, The Corps of Army Music will launch its new incentive, the 'Golden Hello'.  This is a taxable financial reward of up to £10,000, which is being offered to players of specific instruments or instrumental groups whom the Corps are particularly keen to attract.

This incentive is an opportunity available not only to new applicants to the Army, but also to internal transferees from other Corps and Regiments within the Army, to those transferring from the Reserve Army and to those who want to 're-join' after being out of the Army for more than two years.

In order to receive the Golden Hello, which is only payable on completion of all mandated military and music training, in accordance with policy, you will need to make an application to join the Army as a musician.  You will then be called for audition, and your performance at that audition will determine your eligibility to receive the Golden Hello of either £4,000 or £10,000, which will be subject to the demands that we have for players of your instrument on the day of your audition.

If this sounds like the opportunity you have been waiting for, then please contact us via CAMUSHQ-Recruiting@mod.uk as soon as possible to find out more details and start the journey to your new career.  We look forward to hearing for you!
