Sport is an important part of Army life. It not only makes QARANC soldiers mentally and physically robust, but helps develop qualities like leadership and the ability to work in a team.
The QARANC participates in a wide range of different sports, and soldiers of all abilities, both Regular and Reserve, are encouraged to pursue a sporting interest. QARANC soldiers have competed at Army Medical Services, Army and even Tri-service levels in various sports, but there are also many opportunities to try something new.

Triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports within the Military, and the Army Medical Services Triathlon club is a fun and supportive environment for individuals to train, or try triathlon for the first time.

Distances vary from Super Sprint (400m swim/20km bike/5km run) to Ironman, and the AMS are represented at all standards, distances and age groups.
