243 (The Wessex) Field Hospital is part of the Army Reserve Medical Services. Our mission is to be ready provide vital medical support to the UKs Armed Forces deployed anywhere in the world.

We are looking for Healthcare Professionals from all clinical specialities and grades (HCA’s to Consultants) from across the South West and Hampshire. We offer a unique opportunity to expand existing skills and experience. The Army Reserve Medical Services will develop confidence and leadership abilities in a way you never thought possible. There are opportunities to enlist as commissioned officers or non-commissioned soldiers depending on qualifications and experience.

243 (The Wessex) Field Hospital delivers unique Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities through access to academic courses including a BSc in Clinical Leadership, accredited clinical training and military leadership training. There are also opportunities for non-clinical support staff including mechanics, HR administrators, chefs and various other professions.

The Army Reserve Medical Services selection criteria takes into account the value of professional qualifications, so a wide range of people are eligible to join, for some professions the maximum entry age is up to 54.
