Regimental Insight Course (RIC)

The 'Yorkshire Warrior Course' is our Regimental Insight Course (RIC) and provides an opportunity to find out about life as a Regular Army infantry soldier in The Yorkshire Regiment.  The RIC is open to all full time career Army applicants, especially prospective infantry soldiers.  To get on this all expenses paid 3-day residential course, speak to your NRC Candidate Support Manager.

The 'Yorkshire Warrior' RIC takes place over three days and includes the following activities:

  • Arrival, briefing and issue of military equipment
  • Introduction to foot drill
  • Fitness - included a 1.5 mile Run
  • Equipment stands and command task activities
  • Military kit and interest activities
  • Fitness - battle physical training (PT)
  • Night Ex - an overnight exercise & rehearsals
  • Night Ex - overnight harbour area routine
  • Visit - a tour of the Infantry Training Centre (ITC) at Catterick
  • Personal Debrief - Equipment return and depart

The 'Yorkshire Warrior' RIC is aimed at candidates who are 16+ years old age and are awaiting the start of their Regular Army Phase One recruit training course.
