Service dress tunic 1913-20 pattern; worn by Capt G Johnson, 2nd Bn Duke of Cambridge’s Own (Middlesex Regiment), 1 Jul 1916. Khaki whipcord single breasted tunic with collar, shoulder strap, button and collar badge. From a uniform comprising of seven components including a service dress tunic, Sam Browne waistbelt, Sam Browne shoulder sling, Sam Browne peaked forage cap, service dress shirt, collar and tie; uniform worn by Capt G Johnson when wounded on the first day of the Battle of the Somme, 1 Jul 1916. Associated with World War One, Western Front (1914-1918).
