Letter from ‘Reg’- Sgt Robert Black, 10th Bn Black Watch (Royal Highlanders)- to his father, Balkans, 31 May 1917. Hopes he has recovered from illness. Has been having a good time in “a beautiful part of the country.” Going through 6 day bombing (ie grenade-throwing) course. In good health, although dislikes the heat. Thankful for parcel he received. Plans to write to Aunt Maggie and Aunt Mary. Associated with World War One, Salonika (1914-1918).
