Captain Blackmore AAC

Captain Blackmore AACCaptain Sam Blackmore grew up in Chichester and studied at the University of Nottingham. He joined the British Army in 2008 and commissioned into the Army Air Corps.

Following the completion of flying training in January 2011, Sam received his Army Pilot Wings and progressed directly to the conversion course for the Apache aircraft.

Captain Blackmore was posted to 663 Squadron, 3 Regiment Army Air Corps where he deployed on Operation HERRICK, Afghanistan. He is still serving in 663 Squadron Army Air Corps as a Flight Commander and has completed 860 flying hours.
