675 Squadron Army Air Corps

Providing support to Wildcat

675 (The Rifles) Squadron Army Air Corps is located in Somerset (Taunton and Yeovil). The Squadron was created when B Company 6 RIFLES was transferred to the Army Air Corps and is paired with 1 Regiment Army Air Corps at Yeovilton, providing support for the Wildcat aircraft.

The change of cap badge from The Rifles (Infantry) to the Army Air Corps is the latest in a series of role-changes that has happened over the years for the personnel based at the Taunton Army Reserve Centre. Built in 1957 to house a unit of The Royal Corps of Transport, personnel based at the Centre then became 6th Battalion The Light Infantry (Volunteers), then The RIFLES Volunteers and, in 2007, B Company, 6th Battalion the Rifles. On 1 April 2014, B Company formed up as 675 (The Rifles) Squadron Army Air Corps. The Squadron address is:
