Families' Activity Breaks

FAB

Families' Activity Breaks (FAB) was conceived in early 2008 and is aimed at bereaved children and their parent/carer. Children and young people under the age of 19 who have suffered the loss of a serving parent (including step parent or other legal guardian) are eligible to participate.

Its aim is to provide fun and challenging activity holidays, giving the families of deceased service personnel a welcome break in which can meet and mix with others who have experienced similar losses.

FAB is a non-public funded, tri-service initiative. The pilot holidays, run in 2009, were made possible by contributions from the Army Benevolent Fund, the CS Widows and Orphans Fund, the Veterans' Challenge Fund and a charitable donation from worldflagshop.com.
