Education for children in the United Kingdom

When postings result in multiple moves from one school to another or between different educational systems, getting a suitable school place can be difficult. Most children from military families serving in the United Kingdom attend their local civilian school but some have the opportunity to attend boarding schools, some of which are specificaly for service children.

The Children's Education Advisory Service can help advise service personnel and their families on schooling matters providing expert and impartial advice about the education of service children.
