Army Dependants' Trust

The Army Dependants' Trust is a charity which provides discretionary cash grants to dependants of soldiers who die in service, from whatever cause.

For a small annual donation, the Trust relieves any financial hardship for the member's family in the immediate period following their loss.

Every year the Trust helps approximately 100 Army families.

Eligibility

Membership of the Trust is restricted to the following:

  • All serving officers and soldiers of the Regular Army
  • Officers and soldiers of the Brigade of Gurkhas
  • TA and Reservists called out or volunteering for regular service, or when on Full-Time Reserve Service (FTRS), but only for the duration of that service
  • Non Regular Permanent Staff (NRPS)
  • Members of the Military Provost Guard Service (MPGS)
  • Retired Officers (ROs) given reserved rights when the RO Scheme was disbanded
