Upon completion of the Combat Infantryman's Course recruits will attend two weeks of driver training, earning a Category B driving licence upon completion. Recruits already in possession of a Category B licence will train for and earn a Category C licence.

Combat Infantryman's Course - Line Infantry
This course is the basis for all initial training undertaken by Line Infantry recruits. The training builds up skills and fitness bit by bit, starting with individual skills, followed by team/section and then platoon skills.

All Parachute Regiment recruits aged 18 and over take the Combat Infantryman's Course - PARA at ITC Catterick. Operated by PARA Company, it forms combined Phase 1 and 2 training.
