Accommodation

ATR Winchester Accommodation

ATFC Winchester often represents a new Junior Soldier's first time away from home.

Living in Army accommodation is not like living at home, and new standards and rules of behaviour have to be learned. But it's comfortable and friendly.

Junior Soldiers share accommodation with the other members of their section, but there's a reasonable amount of privacy for the individual. Most rooms are dormitories and sleep four people. They have inbuilt lockers and drawers. All blocks have adequate shower and toilet facilities which are clean and modern. Male and female recruits have separate accommodation blocks of similar standards.

Bedding is issued, and this includes quilts. All bedding is changed regularly. Accommodation charges are raised monthly and are deducted from wages.
