Military Training and Military Education continue.

Personal and Team Development training continue (leading the teams, solving problems, leading command tasks.)

At the end of week 35 (half term) Junior Soldiers get a week of leave.

Training Weeks 36-42

This period represents the final phase of military training and education, and the final inter-company sporting competitions.

Personal and Team Development training concludes.

A Shooting Camp confirms Junior Soldiers’ Skill at Arms.

A final exercise in the field - seven days and six nights - sees the consolidation and confirmation of all Military Skills learned by the Junior Soldiers.

On successful completion of the course, Junior Soldiers will begin their Phase 2 training, at an establishment in a different location. There they will build on their Phase 1 experience, and begin to specialise.

With the skills learned at Phase 2 Training and pre-operational Field Army training, they will be ready to deploy on first operational tours.

In just over a year a young person can develop from inexperienced school leaver to confident and professional soldier.

NB: Within the 50-week course, the length of the terms may vary.
