Pre-arrival information

New arrivals receive their first issued kit
Coming to ATR Bassingbourn on the first step of a soldier's Army career can be a daunting prospect. Making sure they are as prepared as possible beforehand, can make a big difference and get them started on the best possible footing.
In order to try and help recruits prepare for their Phase 1 training at ATR Bassingbourn we have put together a set of pre-arrival instructions which can be downloaded using the link to the right of this page.
The kit list supplied within the instructions is the current approved list for ATR Bassingbourn, so recruits should ensure that they use this list over and above any other which they receive. Recruits due to arrive at ATR Bassingbourn should receive a detailed set of instructions with appropriate dates and timings according to their particular course intake, but those available on the right should be enough to get everyone started.
Recruits should use the notes and checklists to help them with the things they may need to locate, buy and pack. They should pay particular attention to the section on Personal documents they need to bring and ensure that all items are available on arrival.
