Machine Gun Wing

The Machine Gun Wing trains Officers and NCOs to become Machine Gun Platoon & Section Commanders.

Comprising a 5 week arduous course, Commanders build on the tactics and skills they have acquired on courses, such as PCD/PSBC and SCBC at the Infantry Battle School, to become proficient in Machine Gun siting, employment and operations.

Focusing mainly on GPMG SF the course mixes theory with practical and tactical application of weapons system, the principles of which can easily be transferred to HMG & GMG. This is a fully integrated course and Reservists are required to attend 2 weeks, which includes live firing and part of the final exercise.
