Professional Engineering Wing

The Professional Engineering Wing (PEW) delivers training up to MSc level to the Royal Engineers’ professional engineers and technicians (Chartered Engineer and Incorporated Engineer) and troop commanders in order to deliver force infrastructure and reconstruction and the development of projects on operations worldwide.

The Wing also provides bespoke pre-deployment training and agency training in Maths, IT and Technology to support all other courses run at the RSME.

Professional Engineer

A two year course, successful students gain an MSc in Military Construction Engineering. On completion students will be eligible to apply to the appropriate institution and be registered as Chartered Engineers.

Clerk of Works

An intensive two year training program covering three individual disciplines; Construction, Electrical and Mechanical. The Training Package is accredited by the University of Greenwich and gains a Foundation Degree in Engineering.

Military Plant Foreman

An 18 month training programme to equip students with the skills to advise on the military application of earthmoving and engineer construction plant. Success provides a Foundation Degree in Highway Engineering and Plant Management.

Maths, Computing and Technology (MCT) Branch

Supports RSME courses that require modules in Mathematics, Engineering Science, IT, Electronics and Controls. In addition the MCT Branch supports access to IT, Internet and remedial mathematics.

Force Protection Engineering

The Professional Engineering Wing delivers force protection engineering training to enable our Soldiers and Officers to accurately assess risks and develop appropriate protective systems.

Contract Management, Project Management and Health and Safety

The Professional Engineering Wing is the focus within RSME Group for all Contract Management, Project Management and Health and Safety qualifications. It delivers progressive learning throughout an individuals career with accreditation to nationally recognised institutions.

Mission: PEW is to deliver the required number of appropriately trained and motivated personnel in Construction Engineering, Design and Management in order to meet the operational requirements of Defence.
