Commandant's Commendation

The Commandant of the Infantry Training Centre presents commendations to civilian and military permanent staff in recognition of their outstanding service.

Commandant School of Infantry Commendation

Wo2 (QMSI) Briody

WO2 (QMSI) Craig Briody was presented with a CGS’s Commendation during a pass out parade at the Infantry Training Centre on 13 May by Commandant the School of Infantry.  WO2 Briody has been the ITC’s G7 Training Coordinator since 2010, fulfilling one of the most unglamorous but demanding posts in the ITC.

Every activity within the nine variations of the combat infantryman’s course is subject to WO2 Briody’s meticulous planning, this then drives the external and internal resource requirements.  He then expertly coordinates the training programmes so that the most cost effective solution is achieved.

Every item needed to support the training programmes, such as instructors, classrooms, vehicles, weapons, ammunition and many other resources are painstakingly de-conflicted at source to minimise unnecessary costs. Because of this intelligent planning, the service provided to the staff and recruits is flawless. WO2 Briody is punching way above his weight, almost to the point that he is irreplaceable, and his efforts are deserving of this formal recognition.
