Leisure time

Blandford Camp has many facilities open to all serving personnel and their families. There are a wide range of activities to keep Phase 2 trainees occupied whilst undergoing training.

Sports and activities

 

Blandford Garrison is also home to a multitude of sports and activities. All equipment and instruction is provided free of charge and is an ideal way to introduce yourself to an activity you may not have had the opportunity to try before. These include:

Amateur radio, Angling (sea and coarse), Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Canoeing, Climbing, Cricket, Cross-country, Cycling, Football, Go-karting, Golf, Hockey, Kayaking, Kite surfing, Martial arts, Mountain biking, Netball, Orienteering, Parachuting, Pipes & Drums, Rowing, Rugby, Shooting (clay/comp), Skiing, Squash, Sub-aqua diving, Swimming, Tennis, Triathlon, Tug of war, Volleyball, War Gaming, Water polo and Windsurfing.

11th (Royal School of Signals) Signal Regiment has a proud sporting history and are currently Army champions in many sports. A number of soldiers represent the Royal Corps of Signals, with those lucky few going on to represent the Army in their sport.
