Training within the United Kingdom

4th Infantry Brigade units undertake a number of training exercises each year. The majority involve Brigade units but occasionally other units use the facilities within the region. Some exercises involve organisations such as local authorities, emergency services, government departments and occasionally overseas civilian and military visitors.

Exercise NORTHERN BLUEBELL is an annual Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineer (REME) training for units across the north.

Exercise ROVING RAT is the Brigade's annual military skills, march and shoot competition for Regular and Reserve teams from across the Northeast and Yorkshire.

Exercise SUMAN WARRIOR is an annual five-nation international military exercise, which was hosted by the United Kingdom in 2011. The exercise took place in North Yorkshire and involved local civilian emergency services working with soldiers from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.
