4th Infantry Brigade Units

4th Infantry Brigade is an Adaptable Force comprising both Regular and Reserve units as identified in the British Army's Future Army 2020 plan.  It delivers operational effect and regional responsibilities across Yorkshire, the North East of England and further afield.

Brigade Headquarters is located within Peronne Lines in Catterick Garrison.

4th Infantry Brigade was formed by the merger of 4th Mechanized Brigade and 15th (North East) Brigade to form Headquarters 4th Infantry Brigade and Headquarters North East on 1st December 2014.

Officer and soldiers of the Brigade can be identified by their 'Black Rat' formation patch.  The black jerboa logo was previously used by 4th Armoured Brigade and 4th Mechanized Brigade.
