In recent years the British Army has been involved in a number of major operations working closely with the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. Present-day operational deployments for 2 (South East) Brigade units have been no different to those in the rest of the Army.
The Brigade's key responsibility is to the Commander Land Forces in supporting the Army's operations wherever they may be in the world. Additionally, it has the unique responsibility for the provision of the Brunei Garrison which has one of the Army's two Royal Gurkha Rifles (RGR) Battalions at its core.
