Brigade History
Historically, the title of 145 Brigade was used in the First World War.
However, the Brigade had originated with the organization of the volunteer forces of Great Britain into a Territorial Force (T.F.) in 1908.
This re-organization was based on the territorial organization of the Regular forces and included the creation of territorial divisions and brigades.
In 1994 authority was given for the re-designation of HQ Aldershot Area as HQ 145 (Home Counties) Brigade at Aldershot, which was to come into effect in April 1995.
The Brigade was subsequently re-titled HQ 145 (South) Brigade in 2007. A comprehensive account of the Brigade's history can be read by downloading the history document from the right-hand side.
