145 (South) Brigade

The Army Show, Aldershot

145 (South) Brigade is the Army Regional formation in the South of England. Our headquarters is based in Aldershot and the Brigade area covers the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

145 (South) Brigade have a new Community Engagement website which you can link to from the right. The website aims to tell you more about what the team are working on and who they are working with. It also contains a number of useful resources for both civilian partners and the military.

Although 145 (South) Brigade covers a small area, it is one of the most complex and densely populated of the Regional Brigades.

There are some 21,000 military personnel in 427 units and sub-units, gathered in 17 Garrison and Stations - for whom we provide administrative support.

Additionally, we directly command Regular, TA soldiers and cadets; organised into one Territorial Army (TA) infantry battalion, two University Officer Training Corps, Divisional Regional Training Centre and 4 Army County Cadet Forces.

As a support command we are required to train, administer and deploy soldiers on active service in all operational theatres, with the current focus on Afghanistan.
