ROLE

102 Log Bde HQ & Sig Sqn (262) has and can be deployed in a number of roles dependent on the size and requirements of the taskings given to the Brigade. Stated below are the three main generic roles which 102 Log Bde HQ & Sig Sqn (262) could be required to undertake.

Provide a Logistic Brigade in support of the Land element of a deployed formation with a Rear Support Group (RSG), Forward Support Group (FSG) or both.
Provide a Joint Force Logistics Component Headquarters (JFLogC) in support of National operations.
Provide a National Support Element Headquarters (HQ NSE) in support of Multi-National operations.  

MISSION

102 Log BdeHQ & Sig Sqn (262) is to prepare to deliver high readiness capability in role in order to provide command and real life support to HQ 102 Logistic Brigade.

 

ORBAT

The Squadron is divided into the following functional departments:

SHQ - Comd Gp (OC, 2ic, RSM), Squadron Ops Cell, Unit Administritive Office, Training Wing.
Alpha Troop - The main communications troop providing both radio and data communications for the deployed Headquarters.
Bravo Troop - The forward communications troop providing radio and data communications for the deployed element.
Charlie Troop - Comprising of the technical workshops, Information Systems management team and the Light Aid Detatchment (REME).
Support Troop - Comprising of the Quartermasters department, Mechanical Transport section, Power section and the Squadron catering element.
